Breakbeat never died.
It fell out of the spotlight.
While trends came and went, while genres rose and collapsed under their own weight, breakbeats kept moving through warehouses, afterhours, festivals, car stereos, basements, headphones, and dancefloors around the world.

The sound survived because the people who loved it never let go.
These Are The Breaks exists to celebrate that legacy.
Not as nostalgia.
Not as a museum piece.
As a living, evolving culture.

From old school rave to Florida breaks. From Nu skool funk to booty breaks. From progressive rollers to modern broken-beat hybrids.
We believe breakbeats still have something to say.

This night is for the veterans who were there when it all began.
It's for the DJs who still carry those tracks everywhere they go.
It's for the producers pushing the sound forward.
And it's for the kid hearing a breakbeat for the first time and realizing electronic music can groove differently.

We are not chasing trends.
We are preserving a culture.
We are creating a place where breakbeat is not an afterthought, not a side room, not a warm-up genre.
It is the main event.

We believe scenes are built through participation.
By taking chances on artists.
By supporting local talent.
By teaching, mentoring, sharing music, and opening doors.

The future of breakbeat won't be handed to us.
We build it ourselves.

One record.
One mix.
One dancefloor.
One generation at a time.

These are the breaks.
And this is only the beginning.
